Second Nature Skin’s Code of Ethics

Second Nature Skin’s Code of Ethics

We believe that what you put on your skin is as important as what you eat.

We believe nature offers an abundance of skin nourishing ingredients.

We believe that our skin responds better to nature than synthetics.

  • Wholesome ingredients – We do extensive research before selecting plant-based ingredients that are safe, beneficial and non-irritating. We don’t use synthetic, or man-made, ingredients such as parabens, glycols, sulfates, or PEG’s.
  • Aroma – We don’t use perfume or fragrance oils in our products. We do use essential oils, which make the products smell wonderful and provide therapeutic benefits.
  • Transparency – We have nothing to hide. Every product’s ingredient (not just “key” ingredients) is listed on the label and on our website.
  • Pricing – We want natural skin care to be accessible to everyone. Our products are fairly priced so you can afford them and keep coming back for more.
  • Sustainably grown – We want to protect our natural resources. So we buy ingredients from companies that use sustainable farming practices and act as stewards of the land.
  • Processing – We use ingredients that are processed in a safe manner, such as cold-pressed, and avoid ingredients processed by chemical extraction.
  • Animal Testing – Are you kidding? We’re the test subjects. Not rabbits. Not mice.
  • Fair Trade – When possible, we source ingredients from farms that provide income for native peoples.
  • Education – We love to share what we’ve learned about safe skin care via workshops, blogging, an ingredient benefits and source list and other educational projects.
  • Give Back – We give up to 25 percent of sales to local charities chosen by the host of a home party.
